Guidelines
SORRY, NO PETS ALLOWED!
The parade is a community event designed to be fun for participants and spectator alike. To assure there are no accidents or injuries we ask the following of all our participants.
• Vehicles are not permitted to follow units in the parade without the pre-approval of the parade coordinators. Approval may be requested for only one vehicle per unit.
• Distribution of candy is permitted under the agreement that: ALL CANDY MUST BE DISTRIBUTED CURBSIDE BY WALKERS ONLY.
• Refrain from the use of paper handouts along the parade route. Most of the paper winds up on the streets and in yards.
• Please use caution when operating motored vehicles. Units with children should have a sufficient member of adult supervisors walking along side the entry. Walking safety spotters (adults) must accompany large vehicles and be positioned at the corners and sides of vehicles to alert the driver of any small children approaching the vehicle.hen operating motored vehicles. • NO TRACTOR TRAILERS ARE PERMITTED. Trucks that transport toxic or combustible products are also strictly prohibited.
• Marching units must have a banner or sign identification at the head of the unit. Marching units can be judged in line of march. Perform range in front of the Grandstand area. Bands are expected to perform throughout parade route.

• Entries with LIVE animals must provide street cleanup following their animals.
• Please bring plenty of drinking water for your group. August can be very hot and liquid intake is important for the health of your participants.
• While parade is "En Route," a steady flow must be maintained. (No large gaps in procession.) All units must maintain a safe distance between each unit (10 - 15 Ft) but remain in a forward motion at all times. (This includes units that are performing a routine.)
• Units who report late for lineup will be disqualified for Awards and will be placed at the end of the parade.
• Any violators of the rules will be ejected immediately from the parade and barred from future participation.
• There will be no solicitations without prior request from the Parade Committee.
In order to maintain the timing and quality of the parade, the following guidelines must be strictly adhered to. We appreciate your cooperation with the above guidelines. We are looking forward to a spectacular parade.
